Poetry
heartbeat rhythm
brings me to this place
where I await her
by lapping waters
of oceans' edge
I sit, atop
basalt boulders
watch as
heavy morning air
stills morning light
I smell her aroma
of red earth sleep
I feel her breath
move stillness
I sense her presence
surround me
from behind
red earth deep
she moves me
and breaths life
into my day.

WINTER BLUES
Winter sun, pale gold
almost white, sits low
and silent,
in the bluest of sky.
pale blue oblivion
effortlessly penetrates
a colorless window pane.
Winter blues, are seldom
the pure turquoise hue
of the Summer seas,
clear, calm, and serene.
When lash of winds
and pull of moon,
give birth to delirious motion,
pigment floods. waves
shift and transform
the blue-ness of emotion.
SEASONS GO ROUND AND ROUND
finches flit and frolic
flutter in mated dance
circle round and round
sputter wing sounds
fly-by, mid air flight, tumble
in acrobatic conception,
they will nest, sing every
morning awake, awaiting!
